Paws of Courage is a grassroots 501c3 not for profit organization to provide service dogs for veterans and first responders in need utilizing rescue dogs from local shelters and rescue organizations.
Our mission is to help combat PTSD and suicide among these groups at no cost to the veteran or first responder giving them and their families a better life.
We are a 100% volunteer driven organization. None of our board members receives a salary. The only paid people are the dog trainers and mental health professionals servicing the veteran or first responder.
We work with veterans and first responders mainly in Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties.
Veterans and first responders are worked with on a one-on-one basis and receive individual attention to their needs.
